Feel heard.
Understand your options.
Hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, stubborn weight changes, insomnia, and low energy can interrupt daily life. Start a conversation about your symptoms, cycle history, and goals.
Your priorities guide the conversation.
Better sleep, fewer disruptive hot flashes, and feeling more comfortable day to day are meaningful goals. A clinician can help identify what may be contributing and discuss appropriate options. Hormone therapy does not guarantee weight loss, emotional stability, or a particular result.
Perimenopause, menopause & BHRT
Hormone therapy may relieve hot flashes, night sweats, and certain vaginal symptoms for eligible patients. Hormonal and nonhormonal approaches both deserve discussion. Ask Optimal T CB to confirm which women’s treatments and formulations are currently available.
“Bioidentical” describes a hormone’s molecular structure; it does not mean risk-free. Some FDA-approved products are bioidentical. Compounded products have not been shown to be safer or more effective than FDA-approved options.
Your next three steps
- Tell your story: review symptoms, menstrual history, medications, and personal and family health history.
- Explore options: discuss whether testing is needed, treatment alternatives, and individual benefits and risks.
- Build a plan: if treatment is appropriate, agree on the formulation, goals, and follow-up.
What risks should I discuss?
Risks vary with age, medical history, treatment type, route, and duration. Some hormone regimens can increase risks of blood clots, stroke, and certain cancers. People with a uterus generally need endometrial protection when using systemic estrogen. Review the specific medicine with your prescriber.
