sermorelin vs hGH

Further Information

Pituitary Gland – This gland is located at the base of the brain and is responsible for (amongst other functions) healthy secretion of human growth hormone (hGH).

Benefits – You can obtain the same benefits with hGH stimulating peptides (sermorelin and GHRP-2) as are achieved with hGH (somatropin) but you do so without the risks. These benefits include changes in body composition, bone strength, energy levels and exercise performance (to name a few).

Tachyphylaxis – this medical term describes a sudden decrease in response to a drug following its administration. The risk of tachyphylaxis when using hGH is due to the persistent elevated concentrations of hGH. In contrast, hGH stimulating peptides provide a natural release of hGH, thereby minimizing risk of tachyphylaxis.

Controlled Substance – hGH is a controlled substance which means that you can only legally obtain it with a prescription. The conditions for which hGH can be prescribed are heavily regulated by the FDA, the result being that only a small group of people diagnosed with those conditions can gain access to the drug. Like any drug, hGH can be sourced illegally but you not only risk being caught breaking the law, you also risk your health since there is no way to be assured of the quality of an illegally purchased product. In comparison, hGH stimulating peptides are commonly prescribed and legally purchased.

Side-effects of hGH – Known side-effects of hGH include carpal tunnel syndrome, abnormal bone and tissue growth, breast tissue enlargement (in men) heart problems and increased risk of diabetes. hGH has also been linked to cancer and can shut down the body’s natural hGH production. Sermorelin and other hGH stimulating peptides have much fewer and less severe side-effects such as headache, flushing, dizziness, hyperactivity and sleeplessness.
